A mandatory course applicable to passenger ship Officers, as specified in the STCW convention set out in Regulation V/2 Para 5 who work on board a passenger ship and are designated on the muster list as having responsibility for the safety of passengers in emergency situations. While this course can be conducted in an office / classroom environment, it is best conducted on board for the maximum benefit of the practical training all of which covers:
– Shipboard emergency procedures.
– Control response to emergencies.
– Controlling passengers and other personnel during emergencies.
– Communications.
